		<description><![CDATA[Bill DiMichele has been a visual poet/painter since 1976, when he worked on an old Smith Corona typewriter.  He grew up in Pennsylvania where he insists that he was taught the arcane techniques of sand painting by the shaman of an East coast Native American tribe.  After moving to San Francisco in 1980, he experimented with numerous technologies, media and philosophies. The pieces here, Ladies of the Road, done in children’s crayons under the influence of LSD,  have an unusual history;  the basic layers were done +/- 1988, and the overlaying glyph forms done years later, 2010 or 2011, after a sudden crayon satori.
