Welcome to the work of Bill DiMichele. Originally from Pennsylvania, he attended Bucknell University, earning a degree in Fine Arts. He has taught art at numerous schools, from kindergarten to senior high, and he has professed to have enjoyed every level. His own work runs the gamut from abstract expressionist/surrealistic painting to realistic sketching, from medieval lettering to spray painting. One of his favorite mediums is collage; ripping and cutting, using shape shards, color fragments, letter pieces and a multitude of arcane processes he learned at a graphics company for which he worked in the 1980s. He also uses a great deal of graffiti and street junk in his work, both in concept and practice, and he enjoys mixing accident with control, freeing and using the mind at the same time.
